1. What is a personal play plan? A personal play plan is a tailored set of play-based activities and simple, creative ideas designed to meet your family's unique needs, interests, and challenges. It includes personalized recommendations to foster positive interactions and address specific behavior issues.

2. How do I get started? Upon purchasing this service, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to submit your initial video message answering the intake questions. Based on your responses, I'll create a play plan just for you. I'll follow up with additional questions if needed before crafting your customized plan.

3. How long does it take to receive the play plan? Once I've gathered all the information I need, I aim to deliver your personal play plan within one week.

4. What format will the play plan be in? You'll receive a PDF document detailing your play plan, along with a detailed video message explaining each part.

5. What does the follow-up coaching session entail? Follow-up coaching sessions include up to 30 minutes of communication via video messaging between the client and Mia. These sessions offer additional play ideas, support for specific challenges, and feedback on the implementation of the personal play plan. They also provide an opportunity to ask questions, receive guidance, and discuss any new developments or concerns that may have arisen since the initial session.

6. What if I have follow-up questions after the follow-up coaching session that's included? You can book additional follow-up coaching sessions either in advance as part of a package, or you can schedule them individually as needed. (See below for pricing details.) To get the best results from a playful parenting approach, having ongoing support and accountability can be extremely valuable -- booking additional sessions is highly recommended.

7. Does it matter what age my kids are? Playfulness is an incredible tool for connection no matter what age your children are. However, my personal expertise ranges from toddlers to tweens. Ages 2-13 are my specialty when it comes to play ideas.

8. Why is Marco Polo the preferred platform for communication for this service? Marco Polo is a free video chat app that allows you to easily send and receive video messages at your convenience. This is great for busy parents, as you can listen and respond on your schedule. You'll also receive a code for two months of the 'plus' version for free, with no credit card needed.

Pricing and Payment Questions

1. How much does the service cost? The cost of the initial personal play plan and follow-up coaching session is $300. Follow-up sessions (up to 30 minutes of communication) can be purchased separately or as part of a bundle for a discounted rate.

2. Do you offer discounts or packages? Yes, package deals are available for follow-up sessions. The more sessions you book, the lower the cost per session. These packages must be booked and paid for in advance and used within a specified timeframe.

Pre-purchasing a follow-up package is highly recommended. Shifting your mindset into a more playful approach takes time and support. It is not an overnight transformation. Accountability and guidance are extremely helpful.

Pricing for follow-up coaching sessions:

  • BUNDLE of 5 sessions at $50 each ($250 total; $100 savings compared to five individual sessions). *Booked in advance, paid upfront, must be used within six months.
  • BUNDLE of 3 sessions at $60 each ($180, total; $30 savings compared to three individually booked sessions). *Booked in advance, paid upfront, must be used within three months.
  • Individual session at $70; pay as you go.

3. What payment methods do you accept? Credit/debit cards are accepted through this platform. ConvertKit uses Stripe, a well-known payment processing platform with fraud detection, to store payment and personal data securely.

1. Are you a licensed therapist or medical professional? No, I'm not a licensed therapist or medical professional. My expertise is in play-based parenting, grounded in my experience as a theatrical performer and educator, as well as my personal experience as a mother and stepmother. If you have serious concerns about your child's mental health, I recommend consulting a licensed professional.

2. What are your qualifications for offering this service?

4. Will you offer any other insight into parenting other than play ideas? Yes. If I have additional resource recommendations that I feel will be helpful to you, I will include those in our communication, even if they don't relate strictly to play. However, the focus will be on playfulness and connection through play.

1. How do I use the play plan? The play plan includes a variety of play-based activities, suggestions, and ideas. I recommend choosing a few to try at first, rather than attempting to implement them all at once. You can use these activities at your own pace, based on what works best for your family. The video explanation provides additional guidance and tips for getting started.

2. Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied? Due to the personalized nature of the service, refunds are not offered. However, if you have any concerns or issues, please contact me, and I'll work to find a solution!
